Privacy Policy
PromptFit is a macOS menu bar app that reads Claude Code conversation files stored locally on your Mac to count prompts. This policy explains exactly what data is accessed and what leaves your device.
What the app reads
PromptFit reads JSONL files from ~/.claude/projects/ on your local machine. These files are created by Claude Code and contain your conversation history. PromptFit only counts how many user prompts are present — it does not read, store, or transmit the content of those prompts.
What stays on your device
Everything. Your prompt count, exercise history, settings, and all session data are stored in UserDefaults on your Mac. None of this is uploaded to any server.
What we collect
We collect nothing. PromptFit has no backend, no account system, and no analytics. It does not make any network requests.
Third-party services
PromptFit uses Sparkle for software updates. When you check for updates, Sparkle contacts the update server to compare version numbers. No personal data is sent. See the Sparkle privacy policy for details.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above will be updated. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance.
